Prices and ownership are from the latest official-game capture on 30 October 2026 at 07:32 GMT. The Matchday 4 deadline is Tuesday 3 November at 17:45 GMT.
The best UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 plan is to target Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray, captain Lamine Yamal on Tuesday and keep Kylian Mbappé ready for Wednesday. Mbappé is the priority premium transfer, Yamal is the midfielder to build around and Victor Osimhen is the aggressive Tuesday route if Galatasaray confirm him in the early line-up.
Matchday 4 is not a round that demands a chip from every manager. Two free transfers can solve most healthy squads. Wildcard is justified when at least five lasting changes are needed; Limitless is a one-week luxury that may be more valuable in Matchday 5.
The deadline advantage matters. Galatasaray versus Stuttgart and Shakhtar Donetsk versus Sporting CP kick off first on Tuesday, so their starting line-ups should arrive before teams lock. On Wednesday, AEK Athens versus Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe versus Liverpool are early games, giving managers team-sheet certainty before captain switches and manual substitutions.
MD4 fixtures and the Fantasy verdict
Tuesday 3 November
- Shakhtar Donetsk vs Sporting CP, 17:45: Luis Suárez is a strong forward hold and possible first-day captain. Gonçalo Inácio and €4.0m Sergi Altimira become cleaner buys if they start.
- Galatasaray vs Stuttgart, 17:45: Osimhen is the headline attacking pick. Uğurcan Çakır and Davinson Sánchez offer confirmed-line-up routes if Galatasaray name them.
- Atlético de Madrid vs Bayern München: Harry Kane remains a hold, but the fixture lowers his captaincy ceiling. Selling a 34-point, 270-minute forward would be an overreaction.
- Barcelona vs Aston Villa: Yamal is the best Tuesday captain. Both teams have scored ten or more league-phase goals, so attack is safer than defence.
- Feyenoord vs Inter: Inter defenders are more attractive than their attackers, but avoid assuming Carlos Augusto's Matchday 3 haul guarantees another start.
- Bodø/Glimt vs Lille: This is a useful ball-recovery fixture rather than an obvious clean-sheet target. Alexsandro has the strongest demonstrated recovery volume.
- LASK vs Slovan Bratislava: LASK supply the round's clearest budget clean-sheet route. Slovan have lost all three league-phase matches without scoring in the last two.
- Manchester United vs Roma: United's 4-1 loss at Como makes Roma interesting, but this is not a fixture to stack before final team news.
- Villarreal vs Paris Saint-Germain: Paris have scored 14 goals in three matchdays. Vitinha offers minutes and value; the premium attackers carry the higher ceiling.
Wednesday 4 November
- AEK Athens vs Real Madrid, 17:45: Mbappé is the standout Wednesday captain. Real Madrid have scored ten in three matches; AEK conceded eight across Matchdays 2 and 3.
- Fenerbahçe vs Liverpool, 17:45: the team sheet helps, but Liverpool's attack contains more minutes uncertainty than Real Madrid's. Treat Alexander Isak as interesting only if he starts.
- Borussia Dortmund vs Real Betis: Serhou Guirassy is the best mid-priced Wednesday forward and a credible captain alternative.
- Porto vs Napoli: Scott McTominay's 16-point Matchday 3 return is not a reason to chase him into a balanced away fixture.
- PSV Eindhoven vs Club Brugge: Sergiño Dest combines 270 European minutes with attacking and recovery routes. Guus Til is a useful budget midfield alternative.
- Leipzig vs Manchester City: Erling Haaland has the ceiling to punish sellers, but Matchday 3's rest means final minutes evidence matters. Phil Foden is explosive and risky for the same reason.
- Lens vs Como: Nicolás Paz has 30 points from 260 minutes and is more than a one-week haul. Jacobo Ramón is the €4.0m recovery-floor defender.
- Slavia Praha vs Arsenal: Arsenal offer the strongest premium defensive route. Gabriel's secure minutes and recoveries make him the safest choice.
- Viking vs Sabah: Zlatko Tripić offers a low-cost home route, but avoid forcing a transfer merely because the fixture looks unusual.

The best MD4 captain plan
Tuesday captain: Lamine Yamal
Yamal has 33 Fantasy points from 270 minutes, with two goals and four assists. At €10.2m and 47% ownership, he combines role security, midfield scoring and a home fixture with Aston Villa. Villa are dangerous enough to make this an attacking bet rather than a routine Barcelona win, but the likely open game helps his ceiling.
Osimhen is the aggressive alternative. He costs €7.9m, is only 5% owned and faces Stuttgart at home. Most importantly, Galatasaray play at 17:45, so managers can wait for the official line-up. If he starts, he becomes the best lower-owned first-day captain.
Kane is third. His 34 points lead the premium forwards, but Atlético away is a harder haul route. He is a strong hold and a perfectly reasonable captain for squads without Yamal or Osimhen.
Wednesday captain: Kylian Mbappé
Mbappé has scored in all three league-phase matches, producing 26 points from 267 minutes. Real Madrid play in Wednesday's early slot at AEK, so managers will know whether he starts before changing the armband. That certainty, plus the fixture, puts him above Haaland and Guirassy.
The switch rule is simple:
- 10 points or more on Tuesday: keep the captaincy.
- Eight or nine: usually keep, unless deliberately chasing rank.
- Six or seven: switch to a confirmed Mbappé in most teams.
- Five or fewer: switch.
Haaland is the aggressive Wednesday alternative. Guirassy is the mid-priced route at home to Real Betis. Both can beat Mbappé, but neither combines the same early team sheet, minutes record and opponent.
Best transfer targets by position
Goalkeepers
David Raya, €6.0m is the safest premium route. Arsenal have conceded once in three league-phase matches and travel to Slavia Praha. The price is significant, so the transfer makes most sense on Wildcard or when replacing a non-starter.
Uğurcan Çakır, €5.0m has the useful Tuesday-Wednesday pairing with Raya and a confirmed-line-up opportunity at home to Stuttgart. Nikita Haikin is the cheaper home alternative, but Bodø/Glimt versus Lille is not a clean-sheet banker.
Defenders
Gabriel, €6.0m is the premium pick for minutes, clean-sheet probability and recoveries. Sergiño Dest, €5.1m supplies more attacking upside at home to Club Brugge.
At the budget end, Jacobo Ramón, €4.0m is the best combination of price and recovery floor. He has played every European minute and made 26 recoveries. Sergi Altimira, €4.0m is the deadline opportunity: buy only if Sporting confirm him in the early XI.
João Victor Tornich, €4.0m is the fixture-first enabler at home to Slovan. His ceiling is lower than Dest's and his recovery record is weaker than Ramón's, but the price and immediate opponent solve real squad problems.
Midfielders
Yamal is the first premium midfielder. Do not complicate the strongest blend of role, output and future fixtures.
Nicolás Paz, €7.0m is the best mid-price transfer. His 20-point Matchday 3 score was huge, but 260 minutes, two goals and three assists show that the role is real. Lens away is followed by AEK at home.
Vitinha, €7.6m offers the safest route into Europe's highest-scoring league-phase attack. He is less explosive than Paris's premium forwards but easier to hold through uncertain attacking rotations.
Phil Foden, €7.0m and 2% owned is the high-upside differential. His 23-point Matchday 3 haul shows the ceiling; 165 European minutes show the risk. Buy only if the final Manchester City signals support another start.
Forwards
Mbappé, €11.0m is the best combined transfer and captaincy move. He gives you AEK away now and PSV at home in Matchday 5.
Osimhen, €7.9m is the best Tuesday value if confirmed. Two consecutive Galatasaray home fixtures make him more than a one-week punt.
Guirassy, €8.6m is the best one-match forward outside the premiums. He has four goals and 27 points, then hosts Real Betis. The drawback is Arsenal away in Matchday 5.
Luis Suárez, €7.3m is the steadier holdable alternative. Four goals in 249 minutes, an early Tuesday team sheet and Manchester United at home next give him a strong two-match case.
Compare candidates directly on the player comparison tool, then use the Transfer Planner to check whether the move still works in Matchday 5.
Who to hold and who to avoid chasing
Hold Kane, Michael Olise, Haaland, Raphinha and Raya unless a final availability update changes the decision. A difficult fixture or one benching is not enough to sell a proven role blindly.
Avoid buying last week's points without checking the minutes. Foden, Arda Güler and Carlos Augusto all produced major returns with less than 200 league-phase minutes. They remain valid upside plays, but they are not automatic transfers.
Do not chase McTominay into Porto away solely because he scored 16 points. Do not buy an Inter wing-back before the role is clear. Do not spend a transfer on a goalkeeper sideways move when an injured or non-starting outfielder remains in the squad.
The first transfer should remove a genuine problem. The second should attack the fixture.
Wildcard and Limitless verdict
Use Wildcard if the squad needs at least five permanent changes. The best long-term spine is Raya or Çakır, Gabriel, Yamal, Mbappé and one of Osimhen or Suárez. That structure remains useful through Matchdays 5 and 6.
Use Limitless only if Kane, Mbappé and Haaland together create a clear advantage over the current attack. The unlimited budget is attractive, but Matchday 5 offers Barcelona at Sabah, Real Madrid at home to PSV and Paris at home to Roma. Saving the chip has genuine opportunity value.
For most healthy teams, save both chips. UEFA's study of last season's top 5,000 managers found Matchday 5 was the most popular Limitless window. Historical behaviour is not a command, but it supports the idea that Matchday 4 does not need to be forced.
Build alternatives with the Squad Optimiser and read the Wildcard and Limitless rules guide before activating a chip. Once confirmed, a chip cannot be treated as a reversible draft experiment.
The final MD4 checklist
- Wait for the Galatasaray and Sporting early line-ups before saving the final team.
- Start Tuesday players and preserve viable Wednesday substitutes.
- Captain Yamal, or Osimhen if you want the aggressive confirmed-starter route.
- Keep Mbappé available for the Wednesday switch.
- Fix injuries and likely non-starters before chasing differentials.
- Check the latest line-up and availability page after the weekend and again on deadline day.
- Save the team before 17:45 GMT on Tuesday 3 November.
The best current plan is Yamal to Mbappé for captaincy, Mbappé as the premium transfer, and no chip unless the squad genuinely needs rebuilding. The fixtures contain plenty of upside, but the two early kick-offs are the biggest edge. Use confirmed information before chasing projection.
