We check the original source material, the timing of the claim and any new official information. Fantasy opinions are not changed simply because readers disagree, but the facts supporting those opinions must be accurate and fairly described.
Clear factual errors are corrected on the existing permanent article URL. Material corrections will normally be explained in the article, and the structured modified time will reflect a substantive editorial update. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting fixes may be made without a correction note.
We do not change the original publication time or refresh an article's date simply to make it appear newer. A revised timestamp is used only when the article has been materially updated.
