Quarter-Final Transfer Targets: 10 Players to Sign Before the Deadline

The field has shrunk from 36 teams to eight. Here are the 10 players the data says you need in your squad right now.

The quarter-finals represent the biggest strategic reset of the UCL Fantasy season. Half the remaining teams have been eliminated, and if you are still carrying players from Newcastle, Galatasaray, Tottenham, Atalanta, Chelsea, Manchester City, Leverkusen or Bodo/Glimt, they are dead weight. Every transfer matters now.

We have combed through the data on all 241 remaining players from the eight quarter-final teams to identify the 10 transfers that will give your squad the best chance of climbing the rankings. Every pick below is backed by verified stats: total points, form ratings, points per million and ownership percentages.

Here is the full shortlist at a glance.

Availability warning: Barcola is currently flagged as injured (I). Monitor his status before committing a transfer. Mbappe (D) and Olise (S, suspended) should also be watched closely. Never burn a transfer on a player who might not feature.

Now let us break each one down.

The Budget Gem: Willian Pacho

PSG | DEF | £5.0m | 66 pts | 2g 1a | 3 CS | Form 4.0 | 15% owned

No player in the quarter-finals offers better value than Willian Pacho. At just £5.0m, his 13.2 points per million is the highest of any player from the remaining eight teams. That is not a typo. A five million pound defender is outscoring most premium midfielders on a per-cost basis.

Pacho has contributed two goals and an assist from centre-back, which is remarkable output for a defender at his price. He has also kept three clean sheets, each worth four points for a defender. PSG face Liverpool in the quarter-finals, a tough fixture, but Pacho's floor is protected by that clean sheet upside and his set-piece threat. At 15% ownership, he is criminally under-owned.

The Differential King: Francisco Trincao

Sporting CP | MID | £6.5m | 69 pts | 4g 4a | 2 CS | Form 5.0 | 6% owned

Trincao has the joint-highest form rating in the entire game at 5.0, meaning he has been delivering consistently in recent matchdays. His 69 total points from four goals and four assists puts him sixth among all quarter-final players, yet only 6% of managers own him.

That ownership gap is your opportunity. Sporting CP face Arsenal, and while the Gunners are defensively solid (six clean sheets from David Raya), Trincao has been Sporting's most dangerous creative outlet all season. At 10.6 points per million, he costs less than most premiums but produces like one. If Sporting nick a goal, Trincao will almost certainly be involved.

The Form Machine: Federico Valverde

Real Madrid | MID | £6.8m | 66 pts | 3g 4a | 3 CS | Form 5.0 | 13% owned

Valverde is the other player sitting on a perfect 5.0 form rating, and his underlying numbers are excellent. Three goals, four assists, three clean sheets, and 66 total points for just £6.8m. That is a 9.7 points per million return.

The midfielder classification is crucial here. Unlike forwards, midfielders earn five points per goal and pick up one point for a clean sheet when they play 60 minutes or more. Real Madrid have kept four clean sheets this campaign, giving Valverde a reliable floor even in games where he does not contribute to the attack. Against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid will need his energy and box-to-box running more than ever. At just 13% ownership, he is a genuine differential.

The Goal Machine: Harry Kane

Bayern Munich | FWD | £10.8m | 58 pts | 8g 0a | Form 5.0 | 38% owned

Kane's profile is simple: he scores goals. Eight goals in the Champions League this season, the most of any player from a quarter-final team. His form rating of 5.0 confirms he is peaking at exactly the right time.

The knock on Kane is his price. At £10.8m he is the second most expensive player available, and forwards earn only four points per goal compared to five for midfielders. He also has zero assists, meaning his output is entirely goal-dependent. But when a player is scoring at this rate with maximum form heading into a quarter-final against Real Madrid, you simply have to consider him. The fixture is open and high-scoring on paper. Kane thrives in those games.

The Attacking Full-Back: Achraf Hakimi

PSG | DEF | £5.9m | 46 pts | 1g 5a | 2 CS | Form 4.5 | 33% owned

Hakimi's five assists are the most by any defender in the competition. That is elite creative output from a player classified as a defender, meaning he also collects six points per goal and four points per clean sheet when he plays 60 minutes.

At £5.9m and a form rating of 4.5, Hakimi offers a unique blend of attacking upside and defensive bonus potential. PSG have kept three clean sheets in total this season, and Hakimi's advanced positioning means he is constantly involved in the final third. If you are looking for a defender who can deliver assist points alongside clean sheet returns, there is nobody better in the quarter-finals.

The Forgotten Striker: Alexander Sorloth

Atletico Madrid | FWD | £7.6m | 44 pts | 5g 1a | Form 4.0 | 2% owned

At just 2% ownership, Sorloth might be the single biggest differential available in the quarter-finals. Five goals and an assist for £7.6m is strong output, and his form rating of 4.0 shows he has been delivering recently rather than relying on a couple of early-season hauls.

Atletico face Barcelona, a side that have not kept a single clean sheet in the Champions League this season according to the data. That is music to the ears of any striker. While Julian Alvarez (19% owned) gets most of the attention in the Atletico attack, Sorloth offers comparable output at a lower price with a fraction of the ownership. This is the definition of a differential punt that could pay off handsomely.

Key stat: Barcelona have kept zero clean sheets in UCL this season (Joan Garcia: 0 CS). Atletico attackers face one of the most generous defences left in the competition.

The Clean Sheet Machine: David Raya

Arsenal | GK | £5.5m | 46 pts | 6 CS | Form 4.5 | 39% owned

No goalkeeper in the quarter-finals comes close to Raya's output. Six clean sheets is the most by any player in the competition, and at 8.4 points per million, he is one of the most efficient assets available at any position.

Arsenal face Sporting CP, a side who will attack but who lack the firepower to consistently break down Arsenal's defensive structure. Gabriel (five clean sheets, form 4.5) and William Saliba (four clean sheets, form 4.0) form a formidable partnership in front of Raya. If you do not own him already, the quarter-finals are the time to bring him in. The 39% ownership is high, but sometimes template picks are template for a reason.

The Budget Defender: Goncalo Inacio

Sporting CP | DEF | £4.5m | 39 pts | 1g 0a | 2 CS | Form 5.0 | 2% owned

Inacio is arguably the best pure budget option in the quarter-finals. At £4.5m with a perfect 5.0 form rating and just 2% ownership, he frees up funds for premiums elsewhere while still delivering consistent returns.

His 8.7 points per million ranks him among the top 15 players in the competition on value. Sporting face Arsenal, and while a clean sheet against the Gunners will be difficult, Inacio's recent form suggests he is contributing in other ways, including a goal and bonus points from recoveries. At this price, he is essentially free squad depth that could easily return four to six points per leg.

The Barcelona Spark: Fermin Lopez

Barcelona | MID | £6.7m | 57 pts | 5g 3a | Form 4.5 | 15% owned

Fermin Lopez has been Barcelona's most productive fantasy asset in the competition. Five goals and three assists for £6.7m works out at 8.5 points per million, and his form rating of 4.5 confirms he is still producing.

The Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid tie is arguably the most open of the four quarter-finals. Neither side has been particularly solid defensively. Barcelona's zero clean sheets and Atletico's leaky record suggest goals at both ends, which is exactly the environment where an attacking midfielder like Fermin thrives. The five-point midfielder goal bonus makes him more valuable than Barcelona's forwards on a per-goal basis.

The Risk-Reward Pick: Bradley Barcola

PSG | MID | £7.5m | 43 pts | 2g 3a | 3 CS | Form 4.5 | 6% owned

Barcola rounds out the list as a high-upside pick with a caveat. His form rating of 4.5, two goals, three assists and three clean sheets represent strong all-round output for a midfielder. At 6% ownership, he is a genuine differential.

However, Barcola is currently flagged as injured in the official data. This is a player to monitor closely over the coming days. If he is declared fit, he slots straight into this list as a premium differential with clean sheet upside from PSG's midfield. If he remains doubtful, redirect your transfer to one of the other nine options above.

Injury watch: Several key quarter-final players carry flags. Neuer (Bayern, I), Oblak (Atletico, I), Kounde (Barcelona, I), Timber (Arsenal, I), Bellingham (Real Madrid, I) and Mbappe (Real Madrid, D) all have availability concerns. Check the injuries page before finalising your transfers.

The Bottom Line

If you can only make three transfers, the data points towards Pacho (best value in the game), Trincao (differential with elite form) and Raya (clean sheet ceiling). Those three players cost a combined £17.0m and deliver a combined 181 points so far this season.

For managers with more flexibility, Valverde and Inacio offer incredible value at their respective price points, while Kane provides the captaincy ceiling that could win you a matchday outright.

The quarter-finals reward preparation. Build your squad now, before the deadline locks you out.
