A truly disastrous MD10 all round. Highlights include:

- My two strikers getting a combined 0 points with my captain Guirassy missing a penalty & Haaland not even playing.
- Bayern Munich not matching expectations at all and scraping a draw vs Celtic
- Renato Veiga getting injured after about 12 minutes
- PSG winning 7-0 and the joint most inform goalscorer in Europe (Dembele) in 2025 not getting a single goal or assist.

The only positive I can mention are my decisions to ignore Atalanta as I thought Club Brugge were being massively underestimated, and to go triple PSG defence. If I hadn’t have stuck with those decisions this could have been a record breaking disaster for me.

Consolation: A lot of people did badly as most highly owned players didn’t perform (except Mbappe, grrr) and so I just dropped back to my MD9 rank - around 50k. Still 7 matchdays to go so lots of opportunity awaits!

Leaving MD10 behind and focussing on MD11 we have been treated to a lovely draw by the UCL Fantasy gods. See the first legs here:

I am still up in the air with lots of my picks, but currently I am on the team below (scroll down). Remember, unless you have a wildcard chip left, this is the XV that will need to take you right through to the final. That said, the transfer rules have changed now, with THREE transfers between each LEG and FIVE transfers between each ROUND. If that isn’t clear, see below.

When the draw first happened I thought it was going to be a template standard to have 2 or 3 Inter defenders and 2 or 3 Arsenal defenders but since then Arsenal haven’t looked great and Inter’s GK Yann Sommer has broken his finger and will probably miss both legs of the QF, so here I am.

I 100% expect this team will change by the deadline, but this is where I am the moment. I may well deliberately go a bit different in order to try to gain rank (picks like Asensio in midfield, Lautaro Martinez or Marcus Thuram upfront and maybe double Dortmund defence could help).
